I was also diagnosed with Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy in which they performed a ventricular septal myectomy (thinning the wall, much like making a Arby's roast beef sandwhich).
It was a 5 year journey for me after 2 heart attacks and 2 ablations. Since the surgery in July 2017 I can breathe again! I've lost significant weight and can once again exercise. Trusting the doctors and communicating everything is essential for recovery.
