Im 31 yrs. old. diagnosed with mitral stenosis last July. A couple weeks before that, i found myself grasping for air with just a few steps while at work. Then suddenly, a week of fever with vomiting. I decided to take it seriously when everytime i got home, im in deep breathes just to get out of the car and my foot started swelling. Had Ecg and the Dr told me to be admitted for a week until swelling of feet stops. Now, Im out and at home, waiting for my surgery sometime at the end of October. With all the questions in my mind and fears, everyday is a mental battle. When I found out about this community, bit by bit, it gives me strength to endure. Relieved with the knowledge and experiences from people who are going thru the same. Looking brightly ahead after surgery with my wife and our beautiful son Zack.
