Laurie's Profile

In 1994 I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease. I had full mantle radiation to portions of my head, neck and chest and abdomen Now years later, the calcification it has done to my heart and damage to my lungs is rearing it's ugly head. At that point in my life I was 30 years old, with 10 and 8 year old sons, and was given a chance of 70% cure. I beat the cancer. And the treatments gave me 29 more years of life, but now I face the fact that those same treatments are causing me to have big problems with my heart. And now with 7 Grandchildren I need help again to regain my health. To live the life I would love to live with my family and friends.
