Today (3/24/22) I am 6 weeks post-op from a septal myectomy and mitral valve replacement. I was diagnosed with Obstructive Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy and severe mitral valve regurgitation. So far, so good. Recovery is going pretty well, I already have less breathlessness climbing stairs. The septal meyectomy did cause a left bundle branch block which I'm hoping does not end up requiring a pacemaker.
