As a child, I was diagnosed with a Bicuspid Aortic Valve. I saw a Cardiologist for most of my life, which was nice. I have to say it help with the news I received on May 31st 2016. That it was time to replace the Aortic Valve and that the mitral valve was now starting to leak as well. My AVR surgery was on August 16th 2016. It was painful, however I was able to make a full recovery. The valve itself lasted 4 years until 2020. On 06/04/2020, It was discovered that I had came down with endocarditis which infected the on-x aortic valve along with my mitral valve. My second surgery was on 06/11/2020. The surgeons had to replace both the aortic and mitral valve along with repairing the aortic artery using a graft.
