Send Karrie a NoteAbout Me
This is my sons story! His name is Justin, he’s 23 and has been diagnosed with Aorta stenosis and aorta aneurysm at age 7. We have monitored yearly since then and was never told surgery was coming. He was over due for routine echo and having wisdom tooth pain so cardio check up was a must. He went from moderate to severe stenosis and referred to surgeon. I researched and decided on Dr Ryan. Scheduled for December 6, hoping for repair but prepared for Ross procedure with Aorta root repair. Justin also has mild Cerebral Palsy so some extra challenges for him. Mostly reading and writing. We have both been on a roller coaster of emotions since we were told surgery is necessary about a month ago. We are in the acceptance stage now and so thankful to have found this group. I feel like you are all family already as not just anyone can understand what we are going through. Dr will do TEE after sedated for surgery and come out and tell us if he had a bicuspid valve or tri and if he can repair or if it needs replaced. CT w/contrast last week and MRI of his head this Friday to make sure he’s not at greater risk for stroke due to his CP. Thankful beyond words that you all are here. Pulling for and praying for each and every one of you â¤ï¸
