Send Karen a NoteAbout Me
I’ve been seeing a cardiologist for 8 years monitoring a family history of heart issues involving blockages with stents and bypass. I knew I had a heart murmur but early on he diagnosed bicuspid valve and has been watching my aortic valve for years, recently it has tripped the line into seeking replacement, I just turned 57. Fortunately the cardiac catheterization showed no blockages requiring stents but the CAT scan showed an aneurysm in the ascending part of the aorta at a 4.0. The surgeon has recommended replacement with a mechanical valve and repair of the aneurysm area. My surgery is scheduled for 8 Feb 22.
