Diagnosed at 2 years old with aortic stenosis; bicuspid heart valve. Recent trip to cardiologist stated that it was "time" to replace my valve. Being only 25, I get a lot of the "you're too young for that", and " you are so young, you won't need surgery for a long time", you can understand my shocking news. Moving forward with the surgery progress, my cardiologist preformed a heart cath and sealed me with a st. Jude's angio seal. Cath results showed a moderate stenosis "for now", since I am experiencing symptoms I am on a 2 month follow plan. Had a follow up to my heart cath which showed damage caused by the seal; 100% blockage of bloodflow to my leg. Glad I followed up. I now have 2 stents in my groin area, and am currently taking plavix.
