Heath's Profile

I was born with a bicuspid aorta valve and had open heart surgery to "crack it back open" in 1982 at the age of 13. I always knew that the valve would one day need replacing...that day has come. I will be having aorta valve replacement, ascending aorta replacement, and innominate replacement. The innominate replacement is a bit dangerous...I had planned to have it at the Arkansas Heart Hospital, but due to the seriousness of the surgery I will be having it at Memorial Hermann in Houston.
