I am a young mother to 5 sweet and beautiful children. I was diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse about 18 years ago. The condition had always been mild to moderate, but very recently had become severe. I was unaware of the change in my condition until I had to get cardiac clearance for a gynecogical procedure I was going to have done 12/2014. I passed my stress test with flying colors but found out that my ECHO and Holter Monitor had a different story to tell. My mitral valve prolapse had become severe and I was having ventricular misfiring which can at any point in time cause sudden death. I completely feel like I have been being watched over. Thank goodness for a scheduled DNC procedure that caused me to have my heart checked sooner than I normally would have.
