About Me

I was diagnose with Bicuspid Aortic Valve when I was 10 years. I have always been very active. Swimming competitions, running marathons, triathlons and 2 70.3 ironman (the last one in October 2016). I have been checking every year with my cardiologist. For the last 3 years I moved to a cardiologist in Miami FL and finally meet Dr. David Wolinsky in WEston Cleveland Clinic . My echocardiogram results have been shown a moderate aortic stenosis. Last May my eco showed a severe aortic stenosis. I have no symptoms. Doctors were surprised how can I run 8 miles and swim the way I do. Dr. Wolinsky talked to his team and with Cleveland Clinic Ohio Surgeons and they decided that it's time to have surgery. Dr. Douglas Johnston is the surgeon I was referring. I'll have a minimally invasive surgery. In the meantime I have to slow down with exercise. In specific Just 3 miles run, moderate swimming or walking. I'm scheduled my preoperative surgery tests and catheterization for this week. 06/27/2017. I'm worried about the surgery, and if I would be able to return to my lifestyle again.
