I’m at the very beginning. I’ve been diagnosed with mitral value prolapse and mitral regurgitation. My cardiologist has been recommending surgery for many years. Last year, 2020, I was in the hospital for a few days as I went into A-Fib, most likely caused by my MVP. I’m only 56 but I am terrified of this surgery so I have been putting it off. I’m looking for a support group of mitral value replacement/repair patients I can talk to about their surgery experiences.
