I was diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse as a teen. Now as a 45 year old adult, my mitral regurgitation has become moderate, and moderate to severe with stress/activity. I sometimes have AFib as well. For the past 6 months, I have been experiencing more symptoms, and surgery has been recommended. After consultation with the surgeon, I was told that I am an ideal candidate for repair.
