My valve story is a fast one... started having worsening breathing issues, everyone saying it was pulmonary/COPD/ two bouts of Pneumonia etc... and they were right for a time, and for the most part I seemed to get better. But then breathing started to get worse, and worse, and I could barely do anything without feeling like I was unable to get enough air... Enter... the cardiologist... and since then it has been a whirlwind of tests and more tests and in three days I am facing mitral valve replacement! GULP!! At least, in the spirit of gratitude... I do not have any coronary artery disease and as such I do not also have to have a bypass!
