I fainted in mid July and because of this my primary doctor ordered a bunch of tests to see what was going on with my heart. I had a stress test that came back fine, wore a heart monitor for 30 days that didn’t show anything concerning, then on October 2nd had an echocardiogram that revealed severe aortic valve stenosis due to a bicuspid valve. I had surgery on November 9th to replace the aortic valve and ascending aorta (that was enlarged). I am now home, 5 weeks post surgery. Had a bout of afib a couple of weeks ago, but other than that I’m healing and getting stronger every day!
