Send Carolyn a NoteAbout Me
Back in my thirties during a routine physical I was told I had mitral valve prolapse and was monitored throughout the years. I occasionally felt my heart flutter. Now, at the age of 57, my routine echocardiogram showed cause for concern and I went on for a TEE. The results came back with severe regurgitation. I met with some amazing doctors at Northwester Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Together with Dr James Thomas and Dr Patrick McCarthy we decided to move forward with mitral valve repair. My surgery is set for November 17th.
