I had my heart surgery, as u can see, on 5/29/24. I have AFIB so the surgery included a left atrial clip to prevent blood clots in addition to the replacement of my aortic valve and repair of the aortic aneurysm. The surgery itself went well, was relatively painless ,but the after effects caused me to have severe shortness of breath. I was unable to participate in the walking exercises while in the hospital and it became necessary to drain fluid from my left lung. Following this, my recovery proceeded swiftly. I recently happily celebrated my one year anniversary. .
