I have always had doctors tell me I had no problems with my heart...my cortoids where clear and my EKG just fine...My husband suggested that I just get and echo with his doctor as I was approaching my 70th birthday...anyway just for the heck of it...I passed the stress test the 10 day harness( I guess) But the echo showed a leak then my cardiologist sent me to the mitral valve doctor who said I needed to see open heart surgeon per my insurance.....From there a TEE and angiogram... results where severe mitral valve leak ..... (I condensed my story as this started in last August and didn't to bore you with the craziness) I had a neurologist last year if I knew I had a heart murmur, I said never. After that only the mitral doctor said he found a very faint murmur....go figure. So here I go for surgery
