Send Bernadette a NoteAbout Me
I was born with a heart murmur that never went away. When I was very young, I had the measles and the German measles. Could those infections weaken my heart?
Anyway, I was getting cleared for bunion surgery and my EKG was abnormal like it always is except this time was different. Two cardiologists came into the room I was in with concerned looks on their faces. To make a long story of tests, doctors, and a second opinion short, I will need open heart surgery. Crazy that because I'm otherwise in good shape, I don't qualify for the cool, less invasive, wire up the leg procedure. WTH? Right? Anyway, more tests coming up to see how long my valve will hold until I need surgery. Thanks for letting me express myself. To be honest, I'm scared. God bless us all who have sought out a website like this.
