In 2018 I was diagnosed with severe aortic stenosis, I had been using drugs for about 15 years once I found out my heart was failing I chose to stop. I had a mechanical heart valve put in 10/24/2018. When they were putting the valve in they realized my heart was very small so they had to cut around my aorta to make the valve fit. Over time the valve has started to separate and now I have been diagnosed with prosthetic mismatch with aortic stenosis. I will be having my second surgery in 4 weeks and I will be having the Ross procedure to correct it.
