Ashley's Profile

I am 21 years old and have been seen by cardiologists my whole life. I am also an identical triplet. I had open heart surgery at the age of 1 (PDA Closure.) At the age of 4 years old doctors discovered a murmur and I was diagnosed with 2 leaky valves. My aortic valve`s leaflets are to short and my mitral valve leaflets are way too long. I have now been experiencing signs of heart failure. I have also been passing out with any activity. I will be having my aortic and mitral valve replaced with mechanical valves. I am currently a collage student studying special education.Very excited to be on the road to recovery and get my degree!
