Spent my second-to-last weekend before surgery camping in the Hoh Rainforest on the Olympic Peninsula and caught the sunset over the Pacific with a fire and good company. Feels pretty great to be alive!

Trying to take a dip in beautiful Lake Washington as often as I can in these next 3 weeks before surgery. Any other swimmers out there?

Hi Maeve, Yep. I love swimming. For me, it's a great mixture of exercise and meditation. Then again, I am an aquarius. :)

Maeve, I've swam all my life. After my first surgery, I swam daily, 30 minutes of laps each day. I loved it....it's so peaceful, a great stress reliever, and the best thing about it is that it is excellent cardio, and a great way to achieve cardio rehab post surgery.... Read more.
