Yes ... yes ... yes! My "bossy" wonderful nurses at Saint Joe's Orange County did wonders for me. Do NOT miss the opportunity with whomever you may work with. Cardio rehab is the best!!

I had 36 sessions of cardiac rehab after a succession mitral valve repair. I strongly recommend you do cardiac rehab. I was carefully monitored and experienced a significant improvement in strength, stamina and well being. In addition, the social interaction with other heart patients was very Important to my recovery.

Definitely YES! I was exercising regularly before my surgery and intended to go back to doing so as soon as the Doc would let me. He would not release me however until I did the cardiac rehab. Turns out that was extremely important. Since I had to wear a monitor... Read more.
