Hi Sue, Just wondering how your son is doing? Just to give an update on my pericarditis - I'm back to exercising with some pretty high intensity routinely. Have been back to my goal 150 min/week for several months with no effects. Had my echo and my trace pericardial effusion... Read more.
Hi Matthew. We are still struggling with it. He feels fine most of the time and does recreational sport without issue. But he’s still on a low dose of naproxen and colchicine. We tried to wean 6 months ago and he had a tiny flare up on chest pain with... Read more.

Hi Sue. I know it is a difficult decision to decide on what valve choice to make. The mechanical valves do last and when I was young trying to decide I did not want to face another heart surgery to replace my valve. Little did I know that I would... Read more.
Much appreciated Barry. It’s great hearing from people that had a mechanical valve at a young age and remained active, healthy and happy
You are welcome. I am sure whatever way you both decide he will be just fine and have a very successful recovery.
