Dorthea, My heart goes out to you. I had my OHS 4/17/17 @ 53 for replacement of aortic valve. The first couple of days to weeks are tough, but then you get to a turn around and things get better. Hints: Work those lungs-do all the deep breathing etc they... Read more.

Hi Dorothea, If it's any consolation, I had my Avr done on Fri 22nd Sept. I wasn't very active at all before hand, not just because of the shortness of breath, dizziness, pain etc, but also because my right knee has been very weak following an accident in Italy many... Read more.
