Ok last question. My ejection fraction is 25% and I have a left bundle branch blockage and congestive heart failure. I am scheduled to have a CRT-D implanted on April 24. This will help strengthen my heart and act as an internal defibrillator in case of sudden cardiac arrest. I am nervous about this since it seems so many things have gone wrong. I wondered if anyone in the community had congestive heart failure even with new valve and how they were treated. Thanks again.

Sorry I keep asking questions. I was also in the hospital for 28 days. On an echocardiogram it was found I had a large blood clot in my left atrium and clot on my new bovine mitral valve. Many doctors were involved and it was decided the safest way to treat this was with warfarin which I have been on ever since. I go to Barnes frequently for echocardiograms and the valve is working much better and the clot is much smaller. My cardiologist is very good and we hope the body will absorb the clot over time. It has been very concerning and I wondered if anyone else had this happen. Thankyou for sharing.
