I read the article on high heart rates after surgery. After surgery my heart rate jumped to the high 60's but now (almost 5 years later) it is back down to 45-55. That is much lower than the target rate he identified. Is that a problem? My cardiologist has not... Read more.

I was interested in the information on heart valve longevity. I was disappointed that there was not any information on the effect that exercise, being vegetarian, or specific supplementation and statin had on valve longevity. Any info available on that? IE how can I make my valve last as long... Read more.

The video about falling ejection fraction after surgery only addresses Mitral Valve replacement. What about Aortic valve replacement and a lower EF?
