I have known I had a heart murmur my entire life. My 'normal' has been low blood pressure and occasional fainting as well. But recently I began fainting in a different way and found out that I was born with a bicuspid aortic valve which was only opening .5 instead of 3.0 which is why I'm having surgery. To tell you I was shocked by the news is an understatement, as I had no idea about any of it. But here I am...getting ready and counting the days until OHS.
