About Me

It has been a story of “watchful monitoring” for probably fifteen or so years, with echocardiogram every two years, then one. I knew my condition was advancing with the gradient up to 53 and asked to return in six months. At this point I discovered heart-valve-surgery.com which has been a wonderful source of information and friendship. Life has continued to be busy as usual although extreme fatigue has become more prevalent. Events have very suddenly accelerated with angiogram in early January to a lost notification letter of guaranteed surgery within three months arriving just over a week ago. Offer of a cancellation spot which did not eventuate because of other emergencies. Yesterday the call came through with confirmed surgery for 22nd of February - five days away! I feel relaxed about the procedure which I know is major. I am under no illusions but I am very well informed with many friends and family with me. Time to move through the door to the rest of my life. Thank you for the support.
