I was born with a bicuspid aortic valve which was detected by a heart murmur my whole life. In 2008, Dr Tiblier gave me the news that it was leaking and would eventually need to be replaced. In 2014, I noticed a difference and yes it was leaking even more. Then at the end of last year, I stopped running and any exercise which got my blood pressure over 140. I would just not feel good so it was time for another doctor visit. Now the aortic valve is leaking more and the aortic regurgitation is damaging the aortic root. Time for surgery.
