About Me

I have known about my bicuspid valve/ sportsmen heart since my early twenties. That hasn't stopped me from doing the things I love like hockey, baseball, golf, mountain biking and anything else that gets the heart pumping!!!! Just a month ago I was playing all the above sports, working out in the morning and living my life with my wife and one year old girl "Collins". Well on my yearly checkup we found out that my gradient had increased from 43 to 52 and thats when the ball has begun to role. Bring it on!! Valve repair and ascending aorta aneurism. Update august 14 After long hours of research and one consultation with a great surgeon at a great hospital that wanted me to do mechanical and blood thinners I found Dr.David at Toronto General Hospital who has recommended we repair my valve and AAA. And as an early birthday present we can do the surgery in a week because of a cancellation. Warp speed Scotty warp speed. Original date post phoned till sept 29. We wait and we wonder!
