I am 69 years old and had open heart surgery at Health Park in Ft Myers Florida in June 2017 to replace my aortic valve and to do a double bypass. Unfortunately, I never had the big life improvement I expected from this surgery. I still felt breathless at times and it got worse over the last year. I have now been diagnosed with paravalvular leak of the bovine aortic valve that was put in last year. I am going to Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland OH this time to a surgeon with high recommendations at the best heart hospital in the U.S. Anne and I will arrive in Cleveland on August 6th and have 3 days of tests and appointments before the planned surgery on August 10th.
