I have mild MVP but here because my husband has mod/sev mitral regurgitation and will be having surgery next month. I set up and sat in on a Zoom when my husband was having an appt with the surgeon (I was in Amsterdam). While he seemed informative enough at the time, mentioning various risks during surgery, hospital stay, recovery time basics, etc. But I am realizing as I read all your posts that he really didn’t tell us much at all…about the recovery phase…common post-op complications, spirometer and pneumonia, A Fib, and a lot more that isn’t to do with anything super scary but helps to know. So I am learning a lot from all your posts.
