I am 66 years old and was always very fit, attended gym and loved lifting weights. Also sprints on running machine and using rowing machine. Have been breathless for a number of years when climbing stairs which doctors put down to stress. Started cough Jan 2013 which didnt go away, then breathlessness got worse. finally sent for tests which showed had I had a bicuspid aortic valve. Have had angiograms and Transesophageal Echocardiogram. Now year since first diagnosis and just want to get on with my life. Have put on four kilos in weight because I can only walk as exercise and even doing that at a pace gets me out of breath. I just want this all over with so i can get on with my life.
