About Me

I went for my yearly CT scan to check my lungs for asbestos related injuries (I have worked in construction for many years and this check up is a precautionary measure). When my results came back I was told my lungs were fine but I had an Aneurysm on my accending Aorta (52mm dia) and a Bicuspid aorta valve..... No symtoms and quite fit. Five weeks later I was went under the knife (David Procedure) at the Mount Hospital, Perth Australia. Bicuspid valve was deemed "OK" so was not replaced at the time. This was in December 2015. I am checked every year and touch wood, all OK at the moment. I coach an adult soccer team and since my operation I approach training differently. If the operation did not get me, running around a football field has no chance.... Take care all and stay safe in these trying times. Mick. XX
