About Me

I am 53 years old and learned of my bicuspid aortic valve at 23. I have been asymptomatic and have been checked annually. A CT scan in August of this year indicated my ascending aorta had reached 4.7 cm and because of some family history, my cardiologist recommended a consult with a surgeon, who felt surgery should happen sooner than later to replace the aneurysm and the valve.
