I was born with a bicuspid valve and at around age 5 I got my first balloon valvuloplasty come 4 years later I received a second one at age 9 which ended up tearing my valve and causing regurgitation fast forward to 2013 at age 12 I received my first open heart surgery a valve repair I was doing pretty well until recently in 2022 I became symptomatic and ended up having syncope I had known since age 12 I wanted a Ross I did quite a bit of research and ended up flying from Houston tx to NYC best decision I've ever made Dr Ismail El -hamamsy was a god sent for my surgery! Couldn't have chosen anyone better!
