Hello.
Recent echos confirmed my aortic valve has severe eccentric regurgitation. Being (I thought) in good health, but now understanding the mechanics of AR, I’m not all that surprised that I’ve been asymptomatic except for years of high Systolic/low Diastolic BP. Being free of any of the other usual disease suspects, there is belief this been with me since birth. Who knew?
BTW, the echos also discovered mild-to-moderate mitral and tricuspid valve regurgitation. So while I’m told the Aortic valve should be replaced, I’m also told the others can be repaired while they’re in there.
Now, I’m beginning the process of selecting a surgeon and hospital location for a September/October procedure.
