I am having surgery in a few days and don't even know what the best Valve would be to use?? I think it has been the hardest thing to decide on? I also see That I am not the only one who faced this problem! Maybe I can get some input from all of you? I am a 60 yr old female semi active,,one person says one thing and another something else>.I think that choosing the valve is made for us so we can keep our minds of the actual surgery!! If I was over 65 I guess it would be a little easier..but,being in the middle here your Not sure what the best option is? Maybe we all need a crystal ball so we can look into it and get an answer!! But, I guess it would be too easy,,this is really hard for sure! It took me three different Drs to visit till I went this one,,he sat with me the whole 30-35 minutes and went over it all! I did not have any Questions after he explained it all to me! I DONT think there are too many Surgeons that spend time with their Patients anymore Like this one did! I would have anyone go to him! Now the only thing left up to me is whether I go with a Magna Ease valve or an ON-X Valve,, Coumadin or reoperation???? if anyone can give me some advise I would Appreciate it with all of My Broken Heart, count down to Friday!! Oh MY...Best wishes to all in the same boat . Maybe it will get better!! God Bless Up date..well,my surgery was postponed till 10?23?2015 do to problems with Insurance..But we all knows how that goes..I Love the Surgeon I have and only hope for the best for me!! I am pretty sure now I am going with an On-x Valve..with the low dose and aspirin therapy I don't think will be such a big deal at all..I decided to go this route so I am hopeing that I Never have to face this again!! It has been a long road for sure! I think picking a valve is a personal thing but,it still was the hardest to do!! I am up early this am thinking that tomorrow at this time I am at Hospital already!
