Hello! I was told I was born with a murmur, but I was not diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse until 1999. I have continued to feel worse over the past years, but this year the chest tightness and palpitations worsen. I have difficulty lying flat, I get dizzy, fatigued and extremely tired. I found a new cardiologist, Dr. James. He said it may be time to get an opinion from a surgeon. He referred me to Dr. Doolabh since he has the expertise. The goal was to repair the valve, but it was not possible. I had mitral valve replacement on December 1st.
