Had been followed for 6 years with the ascending aortic root aneurysm due to BAVD. Now a 50 year old male. My cardiologist referred me to their hospital affiliated surgeon for a consult. I researched as best as possible and instead found Dr Accola only a few hours south of me. During my last visit, Dr Accola said we should get it scheduled. This was in November 2016. So I wanted to get through the holidays and picked this January date. Was to go in on 1/16/17 for Cardiac Cath prior to surgery so the doctor could make sure nothing else was an issue. Had surgery 1/17/17 and discharged to home 1/21/17.
