Send Bill a NoteAbout Me
Crazy. Went in just over a month ago now for a routine visit for nothing to do with my heart. The Resident found a murmur which the Primary confirmed. Have never had one identified previously. In addition the Primary identified regurgitation and ordered an Echo. The next seven days held Two echo procedures and a heart catharization which fully confirmed a BAV and severe regurgitation.....But a good strong heart and open arteries to work with. I won't bore you with the numbers, but the equation was a simple one......a new valve was needed quickly. Having a diagnosis, I was able to finally put the symptoms against it. Bad thing is I never knew they were symptoms of a bad BAV and regurgitation. Terrible shortness of breath, skipped beats, hard beats, palpitations, etc. Honestly I wrote it off as needing to improve my health and get in better shape. Never knew I had a BAV, let alone that it was going bad. So now I'm 10 days out from my surgery and trying to put everything in place in such short duration. But with the help of phenomenal family and friends it's coming together great. So that's my whirlwind story of the past six weeks or so. Thank you for letting me share it. Any details others can provide of their recovery details would be greatly welcomed. Thank you again. Bill
