My sister had her mitral replaced and tricuspid repaired 2 months ago. She had occasional ocular migraines before surgery and had them every day shortly after surgery and once a week now. I had my mitral repaired 9 days ago. Iâ€™ve had a couple flare ups but nothing major.

I have been getting them also about once a week. Visual auras that go away in about 15 minutes without a headache with Tylenol. I was wondering if its the Metroprolol. Are you on blood pressure meds? Metroprolol?l

Hi Rosie, I too have had ocular migraines occasionally before surgery and after. My aortic valve was replaced Nov 1, 2018 - just a few weeks ago. I have had 2 more ocular migraines while an OT and PT visited on 2 separate occasions. They went away each time after... Read more.

Hi Rosie! January 9, 2019 is my 2 year anniversary of my surgery to replace my aortic valve. Since the moment I came out of sedation in the recovery room I have had the ocular migraines at least once a week, every week. At times they are a daily occurrence.... Read more.
