"At the age of 51, I had A St Jude aortic valve replacement and a by-pass. I was in the hospital at UCSF for 6 days. I came home on very little pain meds. I feel the surgery went very well. I have no complaints. The worst part was the hospital bed. Dr. Merrick's team and the staff at UCSF are the best. Dr. Merrick and his staff are very nice and the I felt like I was very informed at all times. In another year, my midline chest scare will be gone."
