"I was 34 at the time of my surgery and it came as a bit of a shock. I knew that I would need valve repair or replacement but was not expecting it so soon. Dr. Hooker was very up front and honest with me. I meet with him on Aug 26, 2008 and underwent surgery on Sept 16, 2008. I had two valves repaired and my pulmonary valve replaced. It went well, recovery was tough but I made it through and am doing great today."
