"Trying to choose a surgeon for an operation this complex is a very difficult thing to do. I spoke with several surgeons via tele-health visits and wound up choosing Dr. Williams. We did not meet face-to-face until the day before the surgery and as soon as I walked out of his office I told my wife, "I picked the right guy."

He took the time to explain everything to me in detail as I am an engineer and have a lot of questions, his bedside manner is excellent, he was able to perform my surgery with only a minister anatomy, which is no easy task. I was very satisfied with the Inspiris Resilia valve that he chose for my surgery and feel that it gives me the longevity I was hoping to achieve through this process.

I would certainly give "Five Stars" to Dr. Williams for how he and his team handled the entirety of the process."

"I met with Dr. Williams last year. He was friendly, took his time, knew my file inside and out, and consulted with the other surgeons and my cardiologist. (I never felt the need for a second opinion because I already several.) Now, a year later, we're preparing for surgery and I have every confidence in him. Our last meeting was the same - friendly, thorough, took his time.

One thing I really like about Dr. Williams is that he always seems very enthusiastic about his job. Another thing I like is that he knows how to talk to nervous patients like myself. I am certain my surgery will go well with my heart in his hands.

October 14, 2024 Update: I feel compelled to follow up my review now that I am 11 months post-op. I am continually reminded of how lucky I am to have had Dr. Williams as my surgeon. His dedication to learning and practicing advanced techniques, like rigid sternal fixation, make such a difference in quality of patient life. Not only do I feel amazing, but I'm pretty certain my upper body is stronger than it ever was before surgery.

I've had no issues whatsoever with my sternum healing and I feel better than I've felt in many years. There are so many other good things to say about Dr. Williams. You absolutely cannot go wrong choosing him as your surgeon. He is also surrounded by a great team and fellow surgeons, like Dr. Ferguson."

"I first went into WakeMed Hospital on 2/14/23 to have TAVR surgery through my upper left chest. Dr. Judson said they could not get all the way in. He explained another way which was to go through my right carotid artery. It was a success. Dr. Williams was joined by Dr. Go and Dr.Charles. I bless them all for giving me back my life.
