Dr. Jay Bhama, heart surgeon, graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in 1998.
After medical school, Dr. Bhama completed a general surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine in 2003. Next, he completed a thoracic surgery residency at George Washington University Medical Center and Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2005. Dr. Bhama also completed an advanced cardiac surgery fellowship at Mayo Clinic in 2006 and a thoracic transplant, MCS & ECMO fellowship at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2007.
Dr. Bhama is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
During his career, Dr. Bhama has received several awards and recognitions including the following:
