"I had an aortic valve replacement in 2013 that became defective. I switched to Northwestern in Chicago, Illinois where I had my transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).
Doctor Sweis was wonderful, so was the care at Northwestern. I am also a nurse, so I did my investigating. One thing, never go to a suburban hospital for procedures. Go to a teaching hospital because if there are any issues post-op, they can handle it with more expertise.
Always research your physician and how many TAVRs they have done."
